Adding a host in SnapCenter fails with the precheck on Powershell version 4.0

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Custom Plug-ins (SCC)
  • Microsoft Windows 2016 or higher
  • Windows host with unsupported language

Issue

Attempting to add a Windows 2016 host in the SnapCenter GUI, to deploy a Windows based Plug-in, fails the pre-check with:

"The required PowerShell version 4.0 is not available on <HOST-FQDN>.
 install or upgrade the powershell to 4.0 and restart the host"
