Adding SVM to SCV fails with the error "Failed to connect to storage system <SVM_name> on port 443"

Issue

  • When trying to add an SVM to SCV get the error in the Job Details:

Failed to add/update storage system information: Failed to connect to storage system  <SVM_name>.\nConnection to  <SVM_name> on port 443 for protocol HTTPS timed out.. The operation has timed out

  • DNS is resolving the SVM correctly (host and pointer records have been created)
