Add storage to SnapCenter fails - "The SSL connection could not be established"

Issue

  • When attempting to add an ONTAP cluster or SVM to SnapCenter, the operation fails with SSL/TLS error:
The SSL connection could not be established, see inner exception.
  • ONTAPI and HTTP application access have been assigned to the account that SnapCenter has been configured to use for authentication with ONTAP.
  • There is no firewall between the server and storage blocking packets over port 443.
