Yes, you can have more than one SMI-S provider attached to Windows SCVMM, but there are multiple factors to be aware of.
  • Each SMI-S provider will be collecting same information so there will be duplicate of information collected provided.
  • This has not been properly tested so there's no accurate report on how functional this method will be.
  • You need to be aware of port conflicts.
  • Installing multiple providers on a single machine can lead to performance bottlenecks
