Issue

  • VMware vSphere Virtual Machines (VMs) and Datastores are not populating data after a successful migration of ONTAP tools for Vmware vSphere (OTV) v9.12 to v10.4.
  • The OTV (locally) plugin for vSphere Virtual machines and Datastore fields reports as not available

ONTAP tools Discovery and Datastore Discovery tasks will show a Failed Status:

  • Other sections in the Overview tab, such as ESXi host compliance, do populate data.
  • OTV plugin tabs Storage backends, Settings, and Support do populate data.
  • VMware vStorage APIs for Storage Awareness (VASA), NetApp Storage Replication Adapter (SRA), and VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) are not being used
