Issue

When provisioning a vVOL datastore through the ONTAP Tools for VMware vSphere 9.8 Provision Datastore wizard you see:

  • After a time out occurs, a error message is displayed:
    • com.vmware.vijava.vim25.InvalidLogin See VP server logs for more details or Java.lang.nullPointerException See VP server logs for more details.

Example:

  • If you click quickly through the wizard, you may be able to complete the wizard. However the provisioning task never launches in vSphere.
