Unable to register vCenter to ONTAP Tools for VMware vSphere

Issue

  • Customer is using a CA signed certificate in vCenter with extended validation on the  Leaf certificate and/or the Intermediate / Root certificates
  • When trying to add a vCenter environment via ONTAP  Tools Manager, the following is presented:

502 Bad Gateway

2010338795 - Unable to register vCenter to ONTAP.png

  • When reviewing the ONTAP Tools for VMware vSphere application log, the following is presented:

"tls: failed to parse certificate from server: x509: invalid certificate policies"
