Unable to Register ONTAP Tools with New vCenter After GUID Change

  • ONTAP Tools for VMware vSphere (OTV) 10.x
  • VMware vCenter 

Issue

  • After changing the vCenter Server GUID (to resolve case sensitivity/uppercase issues ), attempts to register OTV with the new vCenter fail. 
  • Additionally, the old vCenter reference cannot be removed from OTV, as it points to storage that is no longer accessible or cannot be deleted. 
  • This prevents successful plugin re-registration and impacts management of VMware storage.
  • OTV SwaggerUI or vSphere Client may show:
