ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere v10.x

Issue

  • During the upgrade of ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere (OTV) v10.x to v10.5Px, the following may be presented:

One or more certificates for storage onboarded Storage backends are invalid.

This can pose a security risk, especially if a certificate does not contain a SAN entry.

There will be no certification validation, do you want to proceed?

  • The upgrade-run.log report will show the following:

Wed May  6 15:16:21 2026 : One or more certificates for onboarded Storage backends are invalid. with exit code .

Wed May  6 15:16:21 2026 : One or more certificates for onboarded Storage backends are invalid. with error code 07090.
