OTV 10.x Storage Discovery Fails During SnapMirror Rediscovery with "SvmConcise.getUuid() is null" Error

Issue

During  OTV storage backend discovery fails  during SnapMirror Relationships Rediscovery. The job fails with the following error in the OTV logs
Cannot invoke "String.equals(Object)" because the return value of "com.netapp.storage.mongo.model.SvmConcise.getUuid()" is null

Observed behavior may include:

  • Storage discovery failure for a specific storage backend or SVM.
  • SnapMirror rediscovery job failure.
  • Only one OTV appliance being affected while another appliance discovers the same relationships successfully.
  • SnapMirror relationships appearing healthy in ONTAP.
  • SRM recovery and reprotect operations continuing to function as expected.
