Applies to

  • ONTAP Tools for VMware vSphere (OTV) 9.12
  • ONTAP Tools for VMware vSphere (OTV) 9.13P1

Issue

In the OTV 9.12 release:

  • Additional certifcates were added to the Virtual Storage Console / OTV keystore
  • This was done as part of security and auditing improvements

There is an issue where OTV will use the wrong certificate during the SSL Handshake.  This may be problematic if:

  • You are interested in replacing OTV's self signed certificate with a Certificate Authority (CA) signed certificate

If you are using self signed certificates, this issue is typically not problematic and you do not need to implement the solution.
