ONTAP Tools Services deployment has failed with error code 05061 due to crashed vault service

NetApp ONTAP Tools for VMware vSphere v10.3, v10.4 and v10.5

Issue

  • The OTV VM may have been found in this state while powered ON or in a powered-off state possibly for multiple days
  • Customers may notice their OTV discovery tasks are failing
  • After checking the OTV VM's via Web Console, it shows error 05061
  • Powering on or rebooting the ONTAP Tools for VMware vSphere (OTV) VM fails with the same 05061 error code.
    • Note: 05061 is deployment error code that indicates a problem with OTV services.  For more information regarding error codes, please see Deployment error codes
  • From the OTV VM CLI, the kn get pods output shows the ntv-vault-0 pod is in a CrashLoopBackOff state
