Is it possible to change the IP address used by OTV 10.x?

Answer

  • No, in OTV 10.x, IP addresses cannot be changed.
  • To change the IP addresses,  redeploying OTV is required.
  1. Record all the settings from your OTV appliance and then re-download your appliance’s current version of OTV (.ova format) from the Support site
  2. Take a snapshot of the current OTV VM
  3. Turn off your current OTV appliance (save until new VM is verified) and clear your browser cache
  4. Deploy the newly downloaded OTV using all of the same settings except for the IP address of the ONTAP Mgmt LIF
