Description

Some applications, such as ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere (OTV), now require:

  • A SSL certificate to have representative Subject Alternative Name (SAN) entries.
  • The default self-signed certificate used in ONTAP does not include any SAN entries
  • The ONTAP on-box tools do not currently allow you to create a self-signed certificate with SAN extensions
