How to generate a self-signed certificate with Subject Alternative Name (SAN) for ONTAP use with ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere 10.5 and later

Description
Some applications, such as ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere (OTV), now require:
- A SSL certificate to have representative Subject Alternative Name (SAN) entries.
- The default self-signed certificate used in ONTAP does not include any SAN entries
- The ONTAP on-box tools do not currently allow you to create a self-signed certificate with SAN extensions
