No, Upgrading OTV and SRM during an ONTAP upgrade is not mandatory.
  • Before proceeding with the ONTAP upgrade, verify the compatibility between the ONTAP version you plan to upgrade to and the current versions of OTV and SRM use IMT.
  • If the upgraded ONTAP version is compatible with the existing OTV and SRM versions, no upgrade for OTV and SRM is required.
