Issue

  • Replication to a NetApp vVol datastore using VCDA 4.7 fails during the replica activation step.
  • The failure occurs when VCDA attempts to open the replicated disk, resulting in an NFC_DISKLIB_ERROR, despite successful creation of replication artifacts and successful VM provisioning on the vVol datastore.
    • From ESXi hostd.log:

DISKLIB-LINK: "/vmfs/volumes/vvol:.../hbrdisk....vmdk": failed to open (The version of the virtual disk is newer than the version supported by this program (22)).
