VASA Provider: Existing vVol datastore reports new "Default profile is not supported" error

Issue

  • A vVol datastore reports the following alarm: 

Storage provider [NetApp-VP] raised an alert type 'Object' on vvol:### : Default profile for storage container with name <your profile> is not supported.

  • The vVol datastore was provisioned successfully and had been running as expected until this alarm was reported.
  • Any existing VMs on the datastore run as expected.
  • In the vvolvp.log collected with the OTV log bundle, VASA Provider reports errors similar to the following:
