Issue

  • After successfully deploying OTV v10.x with the intention of registering the VMware vSphere APIs for Storage Awareness (VASA) provider in two linked VMware vCenters, adding storage in both vCenter instances was first accomplished without issues.
  • Upon registering the VASA provider in the first vCenter, it was automatically registered after selecting the NetApp ONTAP Tools plugin in VMware vSphere.
  • However, when selecting the second linked vCenter instance from the dropdown menu and navigating to Settings | VASA provider settings, the operation failed after clicking the Register button and entering the credentials for the VASA provider. No error code is given, it just says: Failed
