  • VMware vSphere Virtual Volumes (vVol)

Answer

Currently this is not a supported configuration

Additional Information

  • While NetApp VASA Provider will support Windows Server Failover Cluster VMs on vVol datastores, ONTAP does not yet support SCSI3 persistent reservations on subsidiary logical units.  This support is necessary for configuring a WSFC
  • Adding SCSI3 Persistent reservation support for subsidiary logical unit is on the ONTAP roadmap. However it is not yet included as of ONTAP 9.13
