Storage Replication Adapter: Snapmirror snapshots are not being deleted after multiple failover and failback operations

Issue

When performing muliple failover and "failback" operations within SRM / SRA, the following issue is seen:

  • New incremental snapmirror snapshots are created during SRM's reprotect operation
  • However, old snapmirror snapshots that are no longer needed are not purged
