SRA 9.x : When Setting SRA Password Blocks SRA/SRM Integration Perl Error “Can’t locate Net/Telnet.pm”

Issue

When attempting to reset the administrator password for the Storage Replication Adapter (SRA) using the provided Perl script (e.g., command.pl), the following error is returned and SRA registration or DR testing in SRM fails:

sh-4.2$ perl command.pl -I 10.X.X.X administrator '*****'
Can't locate Net/Telnet.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/local/lib64/perl5 /usr/local/share/perl5 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib64/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 .) at command.pl line 60.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at command.pl line 60.

Impact:

  • SRA configuration cannot be completed.
  • SRA adapter cannot be registered in SRM.
  • DR tests and failover operations are blocked.
  • Business impact reported due to inability to validate disaster recovery.
