Device Discovery Fails with Duplicate Consistency Group Error in NetApp SRA Environments

Issue

  • When running device discovery in vLSR, the following errors appear and device discovery fails:

Operation Failed: Duplicate consistency group '//svm1/vol1' found in SRA's 'discoverDevices' response.
Operation Failed: Duplicate consistency group '//svm1/vol2' found in SRA's 'discoverDevices' response.

  • In vLSR logs, you may also see:

Duplicate promoted target group ID '//svm1/vol1' at (1:37168)

  • This prevents successful management and replication of storage resources, impacting disaster recovery readiness.
