ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere plugin does not appear in vCenter after successfully added in Swagger

Issue

  • After a successful removal and re-adding of the ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere (OTV) plugin via Swagger, the plugin does not appear in VMware vSphere
  • In addition, after running the POST call to add vCenter in Swagger, the registration fails with Error Code: 10000
  • After performing some troubleshooting steps, it was determined that:
  • No previous VMware User Interface (UI) extensions were present via VMware's Managed Object Browser (mob)
  • The OTV appliance is pingable via vCenter
