Why is an admin consent prompt appearing when logging into federated account for DII
Applies to
- Data Infrastructure Insights (DII)
- NetApp Console/BlueXP
- Microsoft Azure
- Identity Provider
Answer
- Admin consent is a process in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) where an administrator must approve application permissions requested by an enterprise application (such as DII/BlueXP).
- NetApp does not control or initiate the admin consent process. The requirement and workflow are entirely managed by your organization’s Azure/Entra ID configuration and policies.
- Only your internal Identity Provider (IdP) admin—typically your Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) administrator or Active Directory team—can review, approve, or change these consent settings.
