Applies to

  • OnCommand Insight Data Warehouse (DWH) 7.3.12+
  • OnCommand Insight (OCI) 7.3.12+
  • Microsoft Windows Server

Issue

  • After running the install_oci_dwh.bat script in DWH, the installation fails and throws the error:
ERROR:The username CURRENT_WINDOWS_USER does not conform to the DB2 naming rules.
  • Sometimes DB2 services are getting started but the DWH installer msi is not starting automatically that is supposed to be triggered after the bat file execution
  • Manual execution of the DWH installer goes fine with SANscreen and MySQL, however fails during "configuring cognos" step as it cant connect to cogmos content store via the DB2 user credentials
  • Attempting to update credentials in IBM Cognos Configuration wizard fails to authenticate as well
