Manual DII Kubernetes data collector upgrade fails at Fluent Bit installation

Issue

  • When deploying or manually upgrading the DII Kubernetes data collector, the netapp-ci-fluent-bit-ds DaemonSet pods fail to start and enter CrashLoopBackOff.
  • The fluent-bit container logs the following error when it is unable to open or create its database:
[error] [sqldb] cannot open database /var/log/netapp-monitoring_flb_kube.db
[error] [input:tail:tail.0] could not open/create database
[error] failed initialize input tail.0
[error] [engine] input initialization failed
