What sparing criteria does the 'Low number of spare disks' healthcheck use?
  • Impact Area: Capacity
  • Object Type: DISK
  • Risk: Low number of spare disks.
  • Potential Impact: If there aren't enough spares, in the event of a failure, a reconstruct will not be kicked off and redundancy will be affected.
  • Details: There are not enough X336 partition 2 drives available in this storage appliance.
• The same alert remains in Spares & Drives on Recommended Configuration on Health Check in AIQDA
• There are no drive issues on ONTAP side, and callhome.spares.low is not recorded in EMS
• SYSCONFIG-R in AutoSupport for the target node of the alert shows that the node has only a root aggregate and a spare partition:
