Answer

The differences between the Protection Roles Destination and Unprotected as displayed in Volumes screen of INVENTORY on AIQUM are as follows:

  • DestinationWhen the volume type is DP or the volume is displayed as a destination in snapmirror show

Note: After snapmirror break is run, the volume remains as a destination in snapmirror show, but the volume type changes to RW

  • UnprotectedWhen the volume type is RW and the volume is not displayed as a source or a destination in snapmirror show
