Restore of Active IQ Unified Manager backup fails after downgrading MySQL from 8.0.22 or 8.0.23

Applies to

  • Active IQ Unified Manager 9.7 or newer
  • Instances that were downgraded from MySQL 8.0.22 or 8.0.23 to 8.0.21.
  • Redhat or Centos installations

Issue

  • Active IQ Unified Manager database backup was taken when MySQL version was 8.0.22 or 8.0.23. Due to MySQL bugs in 8.0.22 or 8.0.23, it is recommended to roll back the MySQL version to 8.0.21. 
  • When restoring an Active IQ Unified Manager database backup (taken with 8.0.22/.23) on a newly installed Unified Manager with MySQL version 8.0.21, the following error is encountered.
