  • NDMP restore job via AIQUM GUI

Issue

  • Restore job via AIQUM GUI fails intermittently for some snapshots
  • ocumserver.log:
ERROR [A204656] [default task-45040] [service.logging.SimpleRemoteLoggingService|logOnServer] [c.n.n.c.u.a.e.ApplicationErrorHandler] Failed to find the source path '/<vserver_name>/<volume_name>.vmdk' in the Snapshot copy '<snapshot_copy_name>', Error: 'null'. Make sure that the source path exists in the requested Snapshot copy.

  • Issue is sporadic and has no pattern in the failures such as special characters in snapshot name/snapshot size etc
  • Restore job for the same snapshot on same destination gets successful after multiple attempts or when tried on a different time
  • ndmpd.log on ONTAP has no records of the failed job
  • apache-access.log/audit.log has a very frequent access recorded from one or more users/applications such as Harvest/Keystone etc
