Multiple "Qtree Space Nearly Full" Alerts During SVM DR Switchover/Failback in AIQUM
Applies to
- Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM) 9.x
- Data ONTAP 9.x
- SVM Disaster Recovery (DR)
Issue
- During planned SVM DR switchover or failback operations, AIQUM generates multiple "Qtree Space Nearly Full" alerts.
- Alerts are raised when the 90% qtree space threshold is temporarily exceeded.
- The events are generated on the DR destination SVM after it becomes active.
- Alerts are typically transient and automatically transition to Obsolete status after the DR activity and subsequent AIQUM monitoring cycles.
- Repeated alert generation may trigger unnecessary notifications or incident tickets during planned DR testing and validation activities.
