Is there a way to check connectivity by CLI in exactly the same way AIQUM performs?

Answer

No. Since AIQUM uses internal certificates to connect to ONTAP, there is no way to perform the exact same request as AIQUM via CLI.
It is possible to execute commands (ping,  nslookup, etc) between AIQUM and ONTAP to check network connectivity.
