Install/Upgrade of AIQUM 9.14+ fails due to failure in decrypting JBoss password

Issue

  • After upgrading AIQUM from version 9.14 to 9.18 (or 9.16), key services (OCIE/OCIEAU) fail to start and the GUI is inaccessible (HTTP 503 error).
  • Both upgrade and install attempt fails with the error message: Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: WFLYCTL0364: Capability 'org.wildfly.security.credential-store-api.jbossCredentialStore' is unknown.

    WFLYELY01208: Unable to resolve CredentialStore jbossCredentialStore - WFLYCTL0364: Capability 'org.wildfly.security.credential-store-api.jbossCredentialStore' is unknown.
  • The installer reports:
    INSTALL IS COMPLETE BUT THE UNIFIED MANAGER SERVICE COULD NOT BE STARTED
