If AIQUM is upgraded together with ONTAP, and AIQUM is restored from a VM snapshot taken before the upgrade, will monitoring continue as normal?

Answer

Yes, after restoring the AIQUM from a VM snapshot and starting,  the AIQUM resumes monitoring as normal without any special operations.

Note: 

  • If an ONTAP has also been upgraded and the version of the ONTAP is not compatible with the restored AIQUM version according to the Interoperabiliry Matrix tool(IMT), monitoring the ONTAP from the AIQUM is not guaranteed. 
  • In that case, the ONTAP must be downgraded to a compatible version.
