Description

The Active IQ (AIQ) Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server enables compatible AI applications and agents to securely access Digital Advisor information through MCP tools. AIQ MCP extends Digital Advisor data into MCP-compatible AI clients, allowing users to interact with their NetApp environment using natural language. The server provides tools for discovering systems and customers, reviewing inventory and capacity, identifying risks, retrieving support cases, and accessing AutoSupport information.

Use AIQ MCP to:
  • Discover customers, customer groups, sites, watchlists, systems, and clusters.
  • Review inventory, contract, and AutoSupport information.
  • Analyze current and forecasted capacity.
  • Identify wellness risks and recommended corrective actions.
  • Review support cases and RMA information.
  • Access AutoSupport records and content.
  • Explore ONTAP clusters and volumes.

Why Use AIQ MCP?

Digital Advisor contains valuable operational, support, inventory, and wellness information. AIQ MCP makes this information available through MCP-compatible AI clients, enabling you to access Digital Advisor insights using natural language.
Instead of navigating multiple Digital Advisor pages, you can ask questions about your environment and retrieve the information directly through your AI assistant.
Common scenarios include:
  • Understanding fleet health and operational risks.
  • Reviewing inventory and hardware details.
  • Investigating capacity utilization and growth trends.
  • Checking support case status.
  • Retrieving AutoSupport information.
  • Reviewing upgrade recommendations for ONTAP clusters.

Availability

AIQ MCP is currently available to approved Early Access Program (EAP) participants.
