Applies to

  • Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM) 9.16 and above
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.6+, 8.0+, 9.0+
  • OpenJDK 11.x (java-11-openjdk)

Answer

  • Yes, AIQUM for Linux does support Java 11 OpenJDK, but how it is handled depends on the deployment type:
    • AIQUM does not bundle its own Java runtime.
    • netapp-um RPM explicitly declares java-11-openjdk as a required dependency.
  • Version compatibility :
    • AIQUM 9.16 → Requires OpenJDK 11.x
    • AIQUM 9.18 → Requires OpenJDK 17.0.14+6
Note: Upgrading or modifying Java outside the supported matrix can cause application failure.
