Active IQ Unified Manager Cloud Agent Fails to Register with ONTAP Cluster Due to Client Certificate Not Being Pushed

Issue

  • After enabling the Cloud Agent (REST Collector) in Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM) for a specific ONTAP cluster, the cluster fails to register and cannot be monitored by AIQUM.
  • Attempts to enable Cloud Agent result in errors and the cluster remains unmonitored unless the change is reverted.
  • Cluster polling only works when Cloud Agent is disabled and ZAPI polling is used.
  • The following errors are observed in logs:
    • EMS Log
      mgwd:mhost.ca.connect.failure:error: Cluster agent connection of the client: UnifiedManager_<UUID> is not healthy. Attempting to reconnect. Error: AMQP transport failed for connection "UnifiedManager_<UUID>". Reason: Error during websocket handshake: read failed.
    • Notifyd.log
      EMS::REST_API_HANDLER: HTTP/S POST failed for destination ... Error buffer string is: TLS connect error: error:0A000416:SSL routines::sslv3 alert certificate unknown
