Why did a new FAS or AFF have an AutoSupport message sent prior to shipment from a hostname JXXXXX-mfg_test-XX?

  • In 2023, NetApp Manufacturing implemented a process to send an AutoSupport message for systems prior to shipment.  
  • This is now part of the process, and the reason you see this AutoSupport message
  • This AutoSupport is generated early in the build process. So, it might not reflect the actual completed build that was delivered
  • An example of the message's subject: HA Group Notification (USER_TRIGGERED (ALL:Manufacturing Test Config for SSN [nnnnnnnnnnnnn])) NOTICE
