Applies to

  • NetApp Support
  • Field Support Request (FSR)

Answer

  • A FSR (Field Support Request) is a support work order for a Field Support Engineer/Solution Support Engineer
  • It is similar to FSO (Field Support Order), but it is assigned specifically to FSE/SSE for various reasons (skills, sensitivity, etc.)
  • FSO will be used for ASE/TPM (Authorized Service Engineer)/(Third-Party Maintenance)
  • The FSE/SSE need to accept or decline the FSR (via Mail/SMS)  according to his availability

Tip: First contact the FSE/SSE before sending the FSR to validate availability and to coordinate the action plan execution
