Will changing the physical location of a storage system cause any issues with the warranty or maintenance for the asset?

Answer

It is possible.  Take the following steps to avoid impact:

  1. Customers should log in to the NetApp Support Site and find the moved system.
    • Update Address  Details, Disk Drive Preference, and Contact Details as required to reflect the change.
  2. Ensure insurance coverage. See Support Standard Terms: 2.3(b).
  3. Confirm with the Account Team or SAM that there is no detected impact to current service levels as a result of the move. See Support Standard Terms: 3.6.

Additional Information

When moving 60-drive DS460C/DE460C enclosures, it is recommended remove the drives and pack them separately.
