ONTAP Select HA Cluster Creation Fails Due to Shared Internal Network Configuration

- VMware vSphere environments hosting ONTAP Select clusters
Issue
When attempting to create an ONTAP Select two-node HA cluster, the process fails during post-deployment. The cluster management IP GUI is available, but logon is not possible and the cluster remains in a non-functional state. Connectivity checks between nodes fail, and the cluster cannot be created.
Log Output/Symptoms:
- Cluster remains in “PostDeploy” for over 24 hours.
- Unable to log on to the cluster management GUI.
- Network connectivity checker fails between ONTAP Select nodes.
- No errors on ONTAP Deploy instance.
- Example error context:
“Unable to create cluster”
“Single internal network shared by both nodes”
