If a FlexGroup rebalancing is stopped and then restarted, ONTAP will start from the most up-to-date checkpoint saved on disk. The idea is to not rescan the same files every time when FlexGroup rebalancing runs, this gives the entire filesystem a chance for rebalancing, even over multiple scans.
