Once there is a disk failure on an AFF A800 ONTAP will disable the NVMe drive PCI port. ONTAP does this by design to prevent false panics from the failed disk. If you have experienced a disabled link of a NVMe drive on AFF A800 you may need to replace the disk. An enhancement for disk registry in AIQ Unified Manger is currently under review by Engineering.
