sdcli disk connect fails due to another connection from the same host

Issue

  • sdcli disk connect fails with the following error.

Unable to connect to the LUN 
Error: igroup has initiators from other hosts. SnapDrive does not support this configuration.

  • Windows Application Event Log reports the following warning alert.

Source: SnapDrive
Event ID: 413
Message: Microsoft iSCSI Initiator Service is not in a running state.

  • There is a connection to the target of the command from another IP address of the same host.
  • The iSCSI Initiator Properties on the Windows host does not show the connection.
