Why files in OneDrive are not restored with the original timestamp?

Last Updated:

Applies to

  • SaaS Backup
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • OneDrive

  • This is by design, the restore operation, files/folders are uploaded to the MS server and they are created with the current timestamp
  • Even though SaaS Backup has the context of "Last modified date" for the file, when it gets uploaded SaaS Backup will create it with the current timestamp
  • SaaS Backup preserves the context and the customer can always see the last modified date of all the different versions of a file within the SaaS Backup UI
