  • The search function in Cognos Analytics returns an error  There was an error with your search
  • The cognosserver.log shows error:

Caused by: org.apache.solr.core.SolrCoreInitializationException: SolrCore 'cm' is not available due to init failure: Index dir '<sanscreen install directory>\cognos\analytics\data\search\collections\cm\data\index/' of core 'cm' is already locked. The most likely cause is another Solr server (or another solr core in this server) also configured to use this directory; other possible causes may be specific to lockType: simple
