Issue

OnCommand Unified Manager (UM) 6.x and later reports 'Managed volume ' ' of subscribed volume ' ' is missing on node' Primary data, Mirror, or Backup to an application such as SnapProtect or CommVault Simpana.

Primary data example:

Description: Error occurred while adding list of snapshots to
    Dataset id [2d527180-9e5c-481c-b8b5-80316c82e000:app_type=OCUM,type=st orage_service_subscription,uuid=b0d858d3-635c-432b-a2fa-c1f64a4f3225],
    Source Copy [5].
Error Message = [OnCommand job[583c10bfdbd326ba:-14e2aeee:1497f03589f:762b] did not complete successfully. Error:[
Managed volume 'primary_vserver:/primary_volume' of subscribed volume 'primary_vserver:/primary_volume' is missing on node 'Primary data'.
    Possible reasons include:
    (1) The managed volume is explicitly deleted by the user, not through a partner application invoked storage-service API call.
To rectify this condition use a partner application UI to invoke the storage-service-cleanup API and the storage-service-conform APIs,
first to remove this volume node member from this storage service and then to create a new protection volume as part of the storage service.
    (2) The container object (aggregate/node/cluster) in which the storage object is located may be in a transient state, thus hiding the volume's presence.
In this case, ensure that the containing object is online. Then wait for a refresh cycle.

DP (SnapMirror) example:

Description: Error occurred while adding list of snapshots to
    Dataset id [ff79e965-7792-4116-bd8e-8e795aa9c77d:app_type=OCUM,type=storage_service_subscription,uuid=5026cc63-efe4-4dc7-89be-02958772e33a],
    Source Copy [12].
Error Message = [OnCommand job[583c10bfdbd326ba:-619818e2:14a05963834:6948] did not complete successfully. Error:[
Managed volume 'destination_vserver:/destination_volume' of subscribed volume 'primary_vserver:/primary_volume' is missing on node 'Mirror'.

XDP (SnapVault) example:

Error occurred while adding list of snapshots to
    Dataset id [321581ca-3312-4c8b-97ab-bcab988d65ba:app_type=OCUM,type=storage_service_subscription,uuid=27efbf8d-877c-49cd-8ad0-0a4b1b0ace77],
    Source Copy [35].
Error Message = [OnCommand job[583c10bfdbd326ba:53bc2f61:147b36bcb54:-6cdd] did not complete successfully. Error:[
Managed volume 'destination_vserver:/destination_volume' of subscribed volume 'primary_vserver:/primary_volume' is missing on node 'Backup'.
    Possible reasons include:
    (1) The managed volume is explicitly deleted by the user, not through a partner application invoked storage-service API call.
To rectify this condition use a partner application UI to invoke the storage-service-cleanup API and the storage-service-conform APIs,

    (2) The container object (aggregate/node/cluster) in which the storage object is located may be in a transient state, thus hiding the volume's presence.
In this case, ensure that the containing object is online. Then wait for a refresh cycle.
