OnCommand Unified Manager 5.X WebGUI and CLI hung due to Sybase parallelism being enabled

Issue

OnCommand Unified Manager Core Package (DFM) can hang due to parallelism if the following analysis from the logs and symptoms are observed:

  • Any interactions with the WebGUI or DFM command line interface (CLI) causes the application to hang.
  • The following message is observed some time before the hang in the "sybase.log" file:

Connection terminated abnormally

  • The 'processor thread' sequence hangs and is unable to contact the DBserver
    from the "DFMMonitor.log" file:
