Issue

  • Protection Manager reports failed jobs for SnapMirror/SnapVault relationships imported into the OnCommand Unified Manager (UM/DFM) server
  • As a result, backups do not show up in the Restore tab, even though backups have been completed successfully
  • From the dfm log:

dst_sys:/dst_vol0: Failed to create secondary snapshot on

dst_sys:/dst_vol0. Reason : Could not get creation time for snaphot 2012-03-08_1805- 0800_daily_VOL0

  • Note: The transfer looks successful from the filer point of view when looking at a snap list or looking at the SnapMirror/SnapVault status.
  • The UM communication test to the controller fails with:

[root@DFM_SERVER ~]# dfm host diag | grep XML

XML (https port 443) Can't connect to host (err=111).

[root@DFM_SERVER ~]#

  • -OR-
