OnCommand Unified Manager Web User Interface fails to load and reports the error "Middleware's registry data is possibly corrupted"

Issue
- The OnCommand Unified Manager (UM) Web User Interface (WebUI) is inaccessible while all services are up and acquisition is successful.
- Upgrading UM from 6.x to 7.0 is successful.
The error seen in the browser is:
500 Internal Server Error. Contact NetApp customer support.
ErrorDetails : Middleware's registry data is possibly corrupted or clientAuth certificates are missing.
Error seen in the reverse proxy (RP) log is similar to the following:
